Caesar's first impression of Agnes was that she was just this quirky girl worth keeping around and fun to tease. It was only after she was fed up with him and left that he realized she was a lot more than a housekeeper.

Even though Caesar is her teacher, he still thinks of her as his rock. When he gets overwhelmed with his thoughts, his workload, or even just plain hungry, she is there to save him as if they share the same brain.

Their relationship will always be a little awkward to him, even if it's what he wants. Sometimes he has these small moments where he wants to kiss her, but hasn't done so because he's trying to be mindful of her boundaries... he also doesn't know how! But it has never been about physical gratification for him anyway, Agnes stimulates him intellectually and is his soulmate, and that's enough for him.
