When Caesar first met Shigure, they seemed to get along right off the bat without a hitch. And they still do! It's hard for Caesar to find friends who share the same qualities as him (laziness), so Shigure easily fills the Juan-shaped hole in Caesar's heart.

You'd think that Caesar would hold it against Shigure for spilling the beans about his fake engagement, considering how it all blew up with Agnes later. However, Caesar knows that it's nothing personal and Shigure was only doing his job.

Caesar also teases Shigure in a friendly manner, meaning he really considers him a great pal who can share a joke or two.
